Silas pays 20% of his medical care and 35% of his dental insurance.

To find how much he pays for each insurance we can use the rule of three. For the medical care we have:

\begin{gathered} 8573\rightarrow100 \\ x\rightarrow20 \\ \text{then } \\ x=(20\cdot8573)/(100)=1714.6 \end{gathered}

For the dental insurance we have

\begin{gathered} 172\rightarrow100 \\ x\rightarrow35 \\ \text{then} \\ x=(35\cdot172)/(100)=60.2 \end{gathered}

Hence, he pays annually $1774.8

Since the year has 52 weeks he pays $34.13 weekly.
