The Solution:

Given:

\begin{gathered} 3cm=2km \\ xkm=30km \\ \text{ where x represents the length of the trail on the map.} \end{gathered}

We are asked to find the value of x.

So,

(3)/(x)=(2)/(30)

Solving the above equation, we get

\begin{gathered} 2x=3*30 \\ 2x=90 \end{gathered}

Dividing both sides by 2, we get

x=(90)/(2)=45cm

Thus, the length of the trail on the map is 45 centimeters.
