From the given figure

The prism has 3 dimensions

Length = 2 sides of the cube

Width = 5 sides of the cube

Height = 4 sides of the cube

The side of the cube = 1/3 inch

\begin{gathered} \text{Length }=2*(1)/(3)=(2)/(3) \\ \text{Width = 5}*(1)/(3)=(5)/(3) \\ \text{Height }=4*(1)/(3)=(4)/(3) \end{gathered}

Since the rule of the volume of the prism is

V=length* width* height

Then

\begin{gathered} V=(2)/(3)*(5)/(3)*(4)/(3)=(2*5*4)/(3*3*3) \\ V=(40)/(27) \end{gathered}

The volume of the prism is 40/27 cubic inches

The answer is D
