The tan ratio = opposite side/adjacent side

In the given triangle

The opposite side of < T is RS

The adjacent side of < T is ST

Since RS = 12 and ST = 5, then

\begin{gathered} \tan T=(RS)/(ST) \\ \tan T=(12)/(5) \\ \tan T=2.4 \end{gathered}

The value of tan T is 2.4
