We have the expression:

a(x+b)-c=d

In order to solve for x we operate as follows:

\Rightarrow ax+ab=d+c\Rightarrow ax=-ab+c+d
\Rightarrow x=(-ab+c+d)/(a)\Rightarrow x=-b+(c)/(a)+(d)/(a)
