For the analysis,

It is better to visualize the graphs in slope-intercept form.

The slope-intercept form of a graph is given by:

y = mx + b

Here,

m is the slope that defined the steep of the graph.

b is the y-intercept, which means the value of y when x is zero. It helps in understanding the height of the graph.

As we see, both the graphs in the slope-intercept form.

Here m1 (slope of 1) = 2

m2 = -5

The positive value of the slope shows that the function is increasing and the negative value highlights a decreasing function.

Hence,

Graph 1 is increasing and graph 2 is decreasing.

Also, the bigger the slope value, the steeper the function. Hence, graph 2 is steeper than graph one.

Note: the steep depends on the absolute value of the slope.

Finally, the higher the y-intercept, the higher the graph. The y-intercept, of graph 1 is 4 while for graph 2, it is 8.

Hence, graph2 is higher than graph1.
