Give an explanation of how the invasive species is affecting the food chain of the ecosystem into which it was introducedAnd if it’s to displacing or killing any native species and taking their place in the food chain, eating the prey of another native species, etc.

Kudzu is a vine that has been categorized as invasive species as it has the capacity to proliferate at a high rate, climbs trees, and covers any kind of vegetation, this way hoards light and it can kill not only shrubs but also trees. All these changes lead to an ecosystem disequilibrium, as there is biodiversity loss not only plant diversity but also animal diversity. In the case of plants, we have a strong competition that ends in the displacement of native plants, when native plants disappear, animals that feed on them or need them as a refugee start to get into trouble, some will be able to adapt and others don't. For example, insects are quite specific about the plants they consume so if the native plants disappear will starve to death, and the consumers of these insects will also starve, so the extreme proliferation of a plant as this, kills the ecosystem dynamics changing interaction webs, such as food webs. However even in this altered environment there is still life, some organisms will be able to adapt and survive and new interactions will be established, nonetheless, we must not forget that it will be nothing like the original ecosystem. Finally, it depends on the severity of the infestation the extent of the consequences.
