$\sqrt[]{4x-2}-1=2$

Adding 1 at both sides of the equation:

$\begin{gathered} \sqrt[]{4x-2}-1+1=2+1 \\ \sqrt[]{4x-2}=3 \end{gathered}$

Raising each term of the equation at the power of 2:

$\begin{gathered} \sqrt[]{4x-2}^2=3^2 \\ 4x-2=9 \end{gathered}$

Adding 2 at both sides of the equation:

$\begin{gathered} 4x-2+2=9+2 \\ 4x=11 \end{gathered}$

Dividing by 4 at both sides of the equation:

$\begin{gathered} (4x)/(4)=(11)/(4) \\ x=(11)/(4) \end{gathered}$
