Step 1: Write out the formula


\begin{gathered} \text{TSA = }2\pi r(r+h) \\ \text{Where,} \\ \text{TSA = the total surface area} \\ r=\text{ the radius} \\ h=\text{ the height of the cylinder} \end{gathered}

Step 2: Write out the values and substitute them into the formula


r=2ft,h=4ft

Therefore,


\text{TSA = 2}\pi(2)(2+4)=4\pi*6=24\pi=75.4ft^2
