Given:

She worked as a nurse for 6 years longer than her friend bill.

Four years ago, she had been at twice as long.

Find-:

How long has each been at the hospital

Explanation-:

Let

x = Bill worked in a hospital

So Hong worked in a hospital is:

=x+6

Four years ago, she had been at the hospital twice as long.

\begin{gathered} x+6-4=2(x-4) \\ \\ x+2=2x-8 \\ \\ x=10 \end{gathered}

Bill worked for 10 years.

Hong worked 6 years longer than,

\begin{gathered} =x+6 \\ \\ =10+6 \\ \\ =16 \end{gathered}

Hong worked for 16 years.
