\begin{gathered} 500=5*100 \\ Therefore \\ √(500)=√(100*5) \\ √(500)=√(100)*√(5) \end{gathered}

So,


\begin{gathered} √(500)=10*√(5) \\ √(500)=10√(5) \end{gathered}

Hence, the simplification is 10√5
