Notice that even if no toys are manufactured, the cost would be $5800, and each toy increases the total cost by $15.

A) Therefore, the equation that models the total production cost is


\Rightarrow C=15n+5800

Where n is the number of manufactured toys.

The answer to part A) is C=15n+5800

B) In the equation above, set n=3050 and solve for C, as shown below


C=15(3050)+5800=45750+5800=51550

The answer to part B) is $51550

C) Set C=23050 and solve for n, as shown below


\begin{gathered} C=23050 \\ \Rightarrow23050=15n+5800 \\ \Rightarrow15n=17250 \\ \Rightarrow n=1150 \end{gathered}
