In the following image we have a diagram of Chris's room:

The room is 12 ft long and 10 ft wide.

Since this is a rectangle, the measures are the same on each opposite side:

To find how much border Chris's mom will need, we have to find the perimeter of the room.

We find the perimeter by adding all of the sides:


10+10+12+12=44

She will need 44 ft.

Answer: C. 44
