Intermolecular force refers to the interactions that exist between molecules according to their nature. Depending on the electronegativity of the atoms involved in the exchange of electrons, they can be stronger or weaker. For an ionic bond, the intermolecular forces are usually much greater, so this statement, looking at it from that point of view will be false.
