A gas occupies 900.0 mL at a temperature of 300. K. What is the volume in liters at 405 K?

We are given the following :

• Volume V1= 900ml

• Temperature T1 = 300K

• Temperature T2 = 405K

,

• Volume, V2 =??

According to Charles law , we will use the formula V1/T1=V2/T2

∴V2 = V1/T1 * T2

= 900ml /300* 405

=1215ml /1000.....(converting mL to Liters)

=1.215 Liters

This means that the final volume = 1.215L
