Given the following question:

3r

2b

5g

7y

3 + 2 + 5 + 7 = 17

\begin{gathered} (3)/(17)=17.6percent \\ or\text{ }0.176 \end{gathered}

3 representing the number of red marbles

17 representing the total number of marbles we can pick. We can convert the fraction into a percent or a decimal as needed hence 17.6%, and 0.176.

We have a 17.6% chance of picking a red marble.
