A physical therapy facility is building a new pool that is 50 feet long and 7 feet deep. They have ordered enough tile for a

180-foot-long border around the edge. How wide should the pool be to ensure that all tiles are used?

Answer:

The Pool should be 10 feet wider

Explanation:

The rectangngle shaped pool will have 4 sides...

If the Pool is 60 feet long then 120 feet should be covered by Tiles.

so only Tiles of 20 feet are left...

Hence the border will be 10 on one side and 10 on the other side
