Explain the Error: Jayme tells her friend that ordered pairs that have an x-coordinate of O lie on the x-axis. She uses the origin as an example. Describe Jayme's error and why that statement is false

The statement is false because for an ordered pair that have an x-coordinate of zero will not necessarily lie on the x- axis . What will determine if it will lie on the x axis is the value of y. For example if the ordered pair are (0, 9) , the x coordinates is zero but the y value is 9 that means the point will never lie on the x axis . It can only lie on the x axis when both are zero(0, 0) or when y is 0 and x is not zero(2, 0) .
