Use the formula C1V1 = C2V2

We have the initial concentration and volume

C1= 0.5 M

V1 = 1.00 L

We also have the final volume

V2 = 2.00L

C2 = ?

Rearrange the formula to find C2:

(C1 x V1) / V2 = C2

(0.5 x 0.1) / (2) = 0.25 M

Therefore the concentration of the final solution is 0.25 M.
