The test of the software tester has 3 parts

\text{The first part takes 1}(1)/(3)hours\text{ to set up}
\text{The second part takes 1/3 of an hour to run}
\text{The third part takes }\frac{2}{3\text{ }}\text{ of an hour to verify the results}

Required

Determine how many hours it will take to complete the test

Step1

Sum all the time for each part together

\begin{gathered} \text{Total time =Time for part 1 + Time for part 2 + Time for part 3} \\ \text{Total time = 1}(1)/(3)+(1)/(3)+\text{ }(2)/(3) \\ \text{Total time =}(4)/(3)+(1)/(3)+(2)/(3) \\ \text{Total time = }(4+1+2)/(3)=(7)/(3)\text{hours} \\ \text{Total time = 2}(1)/(3)\text{hours} \end{gathered}

So the test will therefore take 2 1/3 hours to complete all three parts
