The rule of the speed is

s=(d)/(t)

d is the distance

t is the time

Since the shark was swimming for 60 km, then

d = 60 km

Since the shark took 4 hours to do that, then

t = 4 hours

Divide them to find the speed of the shark

\begin{gathered} s=(60)/(4) \\ s=15\text{ km/h} \end{gathered}

The shark was swimming at a speed of 15 km per hour
