The question requires that we determine the volume of the cube

The volume of a cube is given by

V=\text{Lenght}* Breadth* Depth

The volume of 1 tray is obtained as follow

V=1*1*1=1\text{ cubic inch}

Then 5 trays will make

5*1\text{ cubic inch=5 cubic inches}

Thus, 5 cubic inches of ice can be made with 5 trays
