Solution:

Given:

Part A:

The linear function S(x) is given by;

S(x)=600+0.13x

Part B:

S(6000) is when x = 6000, the weekly salary is;

\begin{gathered} S(x)=600+0.13x \\ S(6000)=600+0.13(6000) \\ S(6000)=600+780 \\ S(6000)=\text{ \$}1380 \end{gathered}

The interpretation:

The sales person's weekly salary when a sales of $6,000 was made is $1,380
