Find the sum and enter it in the box below. Enter your answer as a polynomialin descending order, and use the caret (1) for exponents. For example, youwould write 4x2 as 4x^2.(5x4 - 3x2 - 2x) + (2x4 + 2x3 + 2x2 + x + 1)++

Given polynomials are

\begin{gathered} 5x^4-3x^2-2x \\ 2x^4+2x^3+2x^2+x+1 \end{gathered}

To add the given polynomials.

\begin{gathered} (5x^4-3x^2-2x)+(2x^4+2x^3+2x^2+x+1) \\ =(5x^4+2x^4)+2x^3+(2x^2-3x^2)+(x-2x)+1 \\ =7x^4+2x^3-x^2-x+1 \end{gathered}

Hence, the resulting polynomial is

7x^4+2x^3-x^2-x+1
