Given that the slope of line is 3,

Since, Slopie is define as the ratio of rate of change in y-coordinate with respect to change in x-coordinate:

\text{ Slope = }(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

From , the given data we have coordinates of line (10, f) and (9, -2) and the slope=3

subtitute the value in the expreesion of slope

\begin{gathered} \text{Here, x}_1=10,x_2=9,y_1=f,y_2=-2 \\ \text{Slope}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ 3=(-2-f)/(9-10) \\ 3=(-2-f)/(-1) \\ \text{Apply cross multiplication} \\ -3=-2-f \\ f=-2+3 \\ f=1 \end{gathered}

So, the valur of f =1

Answer : f = 1
