Remember that

The area of a rectangle is equal to

A=L*W

we have

L=3x+5

W=X+2

substitute the given values

A=(3x+5)(x+2)

A=3x(x)+3x(2)+5(x)+5(2)

A=3x^2+6x+5x+10

A=(3x^2+11x+10) unit2
