The optics salon is selling out spectacle frames. During it, the buyer receives such a discount as a percentage of how many years he has. The glasses frame without a discount costs 320 euros. How much will a 35-year-old buyer pay for them?

Solution:

Given:

\begin{gathered} Cost\text{ price}=320\text{ euros} \\ Age=35years \\ Discount=35\text{ \%} \end{gathered}

Thus, the buyer will pay;

\begin{gathered} 100-35=65\text{ \%} \\ 65\text{ \% of the cost price}=(65)/(100)*320 \\ =\text{ \$}208 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the 35-year-old buyer will pay $208 for the glass frame.
