How do I find the domain of y from y=4x-8/x+1

Given the function y=4x-8/x+1, the domain are the range of values of input variable x for whcih the function exist.

If you look at the function, the function exist on all real numbers except -1 because if the value of x is -1, then the function will not exist thereby rendering the fucntion indeterminate.

DOMAIN: all real values except -1 i.e
