Use trigonometric functions to find the length of the wire

In this case the wire represents the hypotenuse and we already know the opposite side of the triangle. We can find the hypotenuse by using the sine


\begin{gathered} \sin 60=(100)/(h) \\ h=(100)/(\sin 60) \\ h=115.5 \end{gathered}

The wire is 115.5 ft. long
