6x^3-8x+3 : (2x-4)

3x^2+6x+8

-6x^3+12x^2

-------------------

12x^2-8x+3

-12x^2+24x

------------------

16x+3

-16x+32

--------------

35

therefore

The quotient is 3x^2+6x+8

The remainder is 35
