We have the next points

C=(-4,-4)=(x1,y1)

D=(2,8)=(x2,y2)

In order to find the midpoint

-For the x-coordinate of the midpoint

x_m=(x_1+x_2)/(2)
x_m=(-4+2)/(2)=(-2)/(2)=-1

-For the y-coordinate of the midpoint

y_m=(y_1+y_2)/(2)=(-4+8)/(2)=(4)/(2)=2

The midpoint is (-1,2)
