The right angle triangle representing the scenario is shown below

AB represents the length of the ladder

BC = 24 represents the distance of the ladder from the ground. Taking angle A as the referencd angle,

hypotenuse = AC

opposite side = BC = 24

To find AC, we would apply the sine trigonometric ratio which is expressed as

Sin# = opposite side/hypotenuse

Thus, we have

Sin 60 = 24/AC

ACSin60 = 24

AC = 24/Sin60

AC = 27.7

Thus, the length of the ladder is 27.7 feet
