We have the following:

We must calculate the slope through the points:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1_{}}_{}

(x1, y1) = (-9, 7)

(x2, y2) = (-6, -3)

replacing:

m=(-3-+7)/(-6-(-9))=(-3-7)/(-6+9)=-(10)/(3)

for b,

y=mx+b

x = -9

y = 7

m = -10/3

replacing:

\begin{gathered} 7=-(10)/(3)\cdot-9+b \\ 7=30+b \\ b=-23 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the equation is:

y=-(10)/(3)x-23
