The pressure applied to a steak knife p(a) varies inversely to the contact area of theblade to the steak a. The pressure of the knife measures 14 kg/mm when its area is4 mm². Once the area is changed what whole number would be used as the numerator to complete the right side of this equation ? p(a)=?/a

We have to find a constant value with the values and the equation given. Doing so, we have:

\begin{gathered} p(a)=(?)/(a) \\ a\cdot p(a)=\text{? (Multiplying by a on both sides of the equation)} \\ 14\cdot4=\text{? (Replacing the values)} \\ 56=\text{?(Multiplying)} \end{gathered}

The value of the numerator must be 56.
