Finding ∡BAC

When the vertex of an angle ON the circumference of the circle, like the angle ∡BCD

its intercepted arc will have twice its measure. Since the angle measure is 29º, then its intercepted arc is

2 x 29º = 58º

All the angles that intercept the same arc must have the same measure for it to be always 58º.

Then, ∡BAC = 29º

Finding ∡BOC

Since the angle ∡BOC vertex is on the center of the circle, it has the same measure of its intercepted arc:

Then, ∡BOC = 58º

ANSWERS: ∡BAC = 29º and ∡BOC = 58º
