There are infinitely many solutions

Here, we want to determine the nature of solution

We start by getting the value of x

We have this as follows;

\begin{gathered} 2(3x+8)\text{ = 2x + 16 + 4x} \\ 6x\text{ + 16 = 2x + 4x + 16} \\ 6x\text{ + 16 = 6x + 16} \end{gathered}

From what we have, there are same terms on both sides. This means any number could serve as the solution to the equation if substituted for x

Hence, the nature of the solution is infinitely many solutions
