SOLUTION:

We are to find the equation line parallel y=-4/5x+12 passing through (-6,2).

From the above equation line the slope (m) is - 4/5.

\begin{gathered} y-y_1=m(x-x_1)_{} \\ \text{Where x}_1=-6_{} \\ y_1=\text{ 2} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\ y\text{ - 2 = -}(4)/(5)(x\text{ - (-6))} \\ y-2\text{ = -}(4)/(5)(x\text{ + 6)} \\ y\text{ = -}(4)/(5)(x\text{ + 6) + 2} \\ \\ y\text{ = -}(4)/(5)x\text{ - }(4)/(5)(\text{6) + 2} \\ \\ y\text{ = -}(4)/(5)x\text{ - }(24)/(5)\text{ + }(2)/(1) \\ \\ y\text{ = -}(4)/(5)x\text{ - }(14)/(5) \end{gathered}
