When we are calculating a ratio between two things, there are two important things: the amount of each, and the order in which they are mentioned.
Since in this case we have:
Pink stripes: 16
Green stripes: 20
and the order in which they are mentioned for the ratio is "pink stripes to green stripes", we will put the pink stripes first. And the ratio is:

This ratio can be simplified. Since both 16 and 20 are divisible by 4:
16/4 = 4
20/4 = 5
We can use 4 and 5, for the simplified ratio
