4(0.5n-3)=n-0.25(12-8n)

Solve n:

1. Use distributive property:

a(b+c)=ab+ac
2n-12=n-3+2n

2. Combine like terms:

2n-12=3n-3

3. Substract 3n in both sides of the equation:

\begin{gathered} 2n-3n-12=3n-3n-3 \\ -n-12=-3 \end{gathered}

4. Add 12 in both sides of the equation

\begin{gathered} -n-12+12=-3+12 \\ -n=9 \end{gathered}

5. Multiply both sides of the equation by (-1):

\begin{gathered} (-1)(-n)=(-1)(9) \\ n=-9 \end{gathered}Then, the valuye of n taht makes the equation true is -9
