Given:

A parallelogram has opposite equal sides and where point E is makes the diagonal lines cut in half.

If the line from point A to point E is 2x

And the line from point E to C is x+2

And line AE = line CE then 2x=x+2

So: 2x-x = x-x+2 and becomes x = 2

Answer: D. 2
