Write an equation in point-slope form of the line that passes through the given points then write the equation in slope-intercept form (-6,6) (9,1)

Given:-


(-6,6)(9,1)

To find the point-slope form.

So we use the formula,


(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)

So to calculate m. we use the formula,


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Substituting the values. we get,


m=(1-6)/(9+6)=-(5)/(15)=-(1)/(3)

So now we substiute it. so we get,


y-1=-(1)/(3)(x-9)

This is the required solution.
