\begin{gathered} y-2x=-2 \\ y-x=1 \end{gathered}

I will solve your system by substitution.

\begin{gathered} y-2x=-2.......(1) \\ \frac{y-x=\text{ }1}{-x=-3}........(2)\text{ subtract equ\lparen2\rparen from equ\lparen1\rparen} \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Substitute the value of x in equ(1)
