Let us revise the trigonometry ratios

In the right triangle, there are 3 sides

1 opposite to the right angle and called the hypotenuse

2 are the sides of the right angle called legs

There are 2 acute angles

sin (an acute angle) = opposite leg/hypotenuse (SOH)

cos (the same acute angle) = adjacent leg/hypotenuse (CAH)

tan (the same acute angle) = opposite leg/adjacent leg (TOA)

In no.1.

Since x and 8 are the legs of the right angle

Since one of the acute angles is 67 degrees

Then we will use the ratio that has the opposite and adjacent legs

The ratio is tan
