The function given in question 11 is

f(x)_{}=x^2-3

To calculate for f(-2) and f(4), we will have to substitute the value of 12 and 4 respectively in the equation above

\begin{gathered} f(x)_{}=x^2-3 \\ f(-2)=(-2)^2-3 \\ f(-2)=4-3 \\ f(-2)=1 \end{gathered}

Let's calculate for f(4) but substituting 4 for the value of x

\begin{gathered} f(x)_{}=x^2-3 \\ f(4)=(4)^2-3 \\ f(4)=16-3 \\ f(4)=13 \end{gathered}
