The number of people who visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art last year was 6.69 x107. The number of people who visited the Guggenheim was 9.54 x 10$. How manymore people visited the MET?

The number of museum visitors are given in scientific notation. This means;


\begin{gathered} 6.69*10^7=66900000 \\ 9.54*10^5=954000 \\ \text{The difference is given as} \\ 66900000-954000=65946000 \\ \text{This can be written in scientific notation as;} \\ 6.5946*10^7 \end{gathered}

The MET had had 65,946,000 more visitors than the Guggenheim.
