In order to find how many drops Mark has left, we must subtract the initial amount he had at the beginning and the amount he gave away.

2-(2)/(3)

make both as a common denominator fraction

\begin{gathered} 2\cdot(3)/(3)-(2)/(3) \\ (6)/(3)-(2)/(3) \end{gathered}

simplify

(4)/(3)

he has 4/3 drops of nectar left.
