it is given that

y proportional to the x

y\text{ }\infty\text{ x}
y=Cx

where C is the constant of proportionality

now

when x = 6 , y = 20

\begin{gathered} 20=C*6 \\ C=(20)/(6) \end{gathered}

Now when x = 24

then y is

\begin{gathered} y=C*24 \\ y=(20)/(6)*24 \\ y=80 \end{gathered}

So the value of y is 80 when x = 24.

the correct answer is option b.
