What is the answer to 3.95m+8.95=47.65

3.95m + 8.95 = 47.65

The first and most important step is to collect like terms

In this case, the unknown variable m will be left on the left side of the equation while the constants would be moved to the right side of the equation. That now results in;

3.95m = 47.65 - 8.95

**Note here that when a positive value crosses from one side of the equation to the other side, it becomes a negative value, and vice versa. Hence 8.95 becomes negative

3.95m = 47.65 - 8.95

3.95m = 38.70

Divide both sides of the equation by 3.95

m = 9.7974

m = 9.80 (approximately)
