we have

3\4=x/5

(3)/(4)=(x)/(5)

Applying the Multiplication Property of Equality

Multiply both sides by 5

so

\begin{gathered} (3)/(4)\cdot5=(x)/(5)\cdot5 \\ \\ (15)/(4)=x \\ \text{rewrite} \\ x=(15)/(4) \end{gathered}

therefore

the answer is x=15/4
