The formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle is

Therefore

`\begin{gathered} 2(3w-2)=74 \\ 3w-2=(74)/(2) \\ 3w-2=37 \\ 3w=37+2 \\ 3w=39 \\ w=(39)/(3) \\ w=13feet \end{gathered}`
